Cycling in Copenhagen
You haven’t experienced Copenhagen until you’ve cycled through the streets. Luckily, for those who aren’t bringing a bicycle with you there are options for cheap bike rental. Swapfiets offers a monthly subscription (from 140 DKK, $23 per month). This subscription includes reparations and insurance. Copenhagen Bike Rental offers a greater variety of bicycles, however at a higher price point (from 350 DKK per week $60). Donkey Republic offers a monthly bike-sharing subscription (250 DKK, $41 per month). This is a slightly more flexible subscription, because you can for instance use their bicycles in other cities (Odense, Aarhus, Aalborg).
Be aware of the rules, which can be found on København's Kommune's webpage
Metro
IIf you're not into cycling there's always the metro. Copenhagen has 4 metro lines that will take you mostly anywhere withing the city. Note that the red metro line (M3) will take you in a circle whereas the other lines (M1, M2 and M3) have ends.
The closest metro station to DAWN at NBB is Vibenshus Runddel (M3)
All metro lines converge at Kongens Nytorv. This is where you'll want to stop if you want to go to Nørreport Station (M1 and M2). From Nørreport and the Central Station you can access S-trains (more on that below)

Buses
To take the bus in Denmark you have to buy a ticket before entering. These can be bought though the Rejsekort App. Most bus stops have a bench to catch a break but don't get too cozy as the bus driver will drive past you if he can't see you.
Always remember to press the 'STOP' button before you need to get off, as you might otherwise drive past your stop.
S-trains
Lastly there's the S-trains. These can be accessed from several points, most commonly though Østerport station, Nørreport Station, Central Station and Nørrebro Station. As with other modes of transport you will need a ticket, either bought through the Rejsekort app, from ticket machines at the station or in the 7-elevens at the station.
If you're at DTU the nearest station is Lyngby Station (line A and E). From here you can quickly get to Copenhagen.
S-trains are also great if you want to have a 1-day trip to see other cities.
